Description

All encompassing summary of the roots of the Jewish people from Exodus to Statehood, as well as a synopsis of Jewish literature (Talmudic mostly), basic theories of Judaism an Jewish practices (in terms of religious observance). While all the major events and movements are covered, it's a bit dry as so much has to be presented like the 'Catalogue Aria' from Don Giovanni in order to fit everything in. Some lovely black and white photos including a Jewish book seller from Whitechapel.
