A Kehillat Kernow Community Event

Sunday 9th November,  2.30pm-4.30pm

Threemilestone Community Centre,  Pengelly Way Truro TR3 6DP

Calling all Kehillat Kernow community members who have a love of Jewish literature to participate in this Kehillat Kernow Community Event and step into a world where the voices of Jewish authors echo and inspire us through time. We invite all members of the Kehillat Kernow community to join us and share and talk about a book that captivates them, delving into its narrative, themes and unique perspective.

– The book of your choice could be a poignant memoir or a piece of fiction you have found particularly thrilling or inspiring. We want to showcase the creativity and depth of Jewish authors.

– Presenters will have up to 15 minutes to talk about their choice and to bring their book alive for the audience.

– It’s an opportunity not only to bring our community together for a social occasion but also an opportunity to meet fellow literature enthusiasts, share your views, and engage in thoughtful discussions about the chosen books.

Don’t be shy! If you have a passion for literature, a curiosity about Jewish heritage, or simply enjoy hearing incredible stories, this event is for you. If you want to share the passion but not present a book, please do come along. All welcome. You can share in the discussion and help us celebrate Jewish voices in literature….and there’ll be tea and cakes!

If you are interested in sharing a book you love, please email secretary@kehillatkernow.com

This event is part of the four month long B’nai B’rith Jewish Heritage Festival in association with European Days of Jewish Culture  https://jewisheritage.org/edjc/2025-people-of-the-book
