30 Kehillat Kernow members and friends – Jewish and non-Jewish – gathered at Jo and Paul’s house in Truro to celebrate the last night of Chanukah. There were enough menorahs for everyone to light a candle, and there were dougnuts, dreidl shortbread biscuits, cakes, sandwiches, savouries and veggie mince pies. Thank you to all those who made and brought food and drink and a special ‘shout out’ to Sarah for the dreidl shortbread and Jacquie and Yaron for the mulled apple from their farm. Adam and Isaac Feldman sang a beautiful verson of Hanerat Ha’lolu, and Mah Otzur was sung by all with great passion. It was a really lovely event especially in these difficult times for Jewish communities everywhere.
