Once again the Kehillat Kernow community gathered at the beatiful rural retreat of Roselidden for a Rosh Hashana evening service followed the next day by a morning service which, in turn, was followed by a wonderful lunch provided by the members.
About 25 members turned up each day. A lot of familiar faces but also a number of new faces who were made very welcome and who contributed to the services which were led, in the evening, by Adam Feldman, Jo Richler and Paul Kleiman, and the next morning by Adam and Hilary Ackland. Paul was also the official Shofar blower. We were also joined online by a few members.
Each service commenced with a reading out of the names of the 48 remaining hostages – both living and deceased – and the lighting of a candle for each name.
We were blessed with wonderful weather, and both services were uplifting and moving in equal part.
Wishing all our community L’Shana Tova – a good, happy, healthy and, particularly, a peaceful year.
