    Machzorim (Russian source)-8 copies

Written in Hebrew, these Russian Machzorim which date from before the Revolution (1907), could well have been transported to the UK by the parents of Jack Abel, a Jewish resident of Truro who was loosely associated with Kehillat Kernow and who bequeathed his collection of Jewish books to our library after his death in July 2013 through his acquaintance with our chairman, Harvey Kurzfield. Thank goodness for the Hebrew, which never changes, for the Russian front plate is a mystery.
