  • Jerusalem

    Jerusalem

Friendly, somewhat childish narration of a boy explaining his city to a visitor and highlighting the history of Jerusalem-a very rose-coloured discussion but much information included (all Jewish-all favourable to Jews). It's not outright propaganda but certainly has a bias.

Publisher: H. Stern (who owns every jewelery show in Israel it seems)

    Jerusalem City Map

A good beginners' guide to the city; hardly detailed but very good for the first day or two of your visit to Jerusalem. Just reading the names of the major streets is a lesson in history (the same, of course in Tel Aviv). Pleasant presentation if you can get beyond Stern adverts, but then maybe he's hoping you'll buy a pricey chachkah at one of his stores.
