    Geared for children (of all ages, really), this neat little books teaches basic Biblical Hebrew and gets the less observant familiar with the Shabbat service, its prayers and rituals and the meanings behind them as well as the text in Hebrew. It begins with the 'letters' of the Aleph-Bet and takes the reader from there. Well done and well written.

    Interesting approach to Hebrew which is also a guide to getting to know how to operate conversationally in Israel. A bit daunting for the beginner but not impossible. First part of the book goes through the basic grammar rules and then the conversations begin. From the pictures, one assumes this was written in the 1950's but still relevant today despite a conversation in which a customer buys a suit for £10.
