GM: As Good As Golda, The warmth & wisdom of Israel's Prime Minister
Schmaltzy rendition of Golda Meir's contribution to Israel. Popular and totally biased, this is not necessary an historical document but a loving tribute to the late prime minister from two of her admirers. Can't believe this is a book and not a magazine article written by her public relations manager. A fifteen minute-read. Meir deserved better. -

Good personal and political reflection on one's life from one tough lady. Meir begins with her earliest beginnings in Russia, America, and then Israel. Book ends with the Yom Kippur War. Out of the Hitler Time
Trilogy of three novels based on Kerr's personal experience: 'When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit,' 'Bombs on Aunt Dainty,' and 'A Small Person Far Away.' Novels are told through the eyes of a young German girl, Anna, who had to flee from the Nazis just before the 2nd World War. She is moved to London in time for the bombs to fall, and later settles and marries in England. Part fiction and partly based on the writer's personal experiences, this easy read gives insight into what it was like to live in another era when times were dangerous, events happening at break-neck speed, and changes to one's life were indeed, life-changing. -
