Benefactors
Andrew Gerard Schulof
Died on 30th November 2001, 15th day of Kislev 5762.
He appointed his good friend Roger Stevens as his Executor. Mr Schulof’s will provided that his residuary estate should be divided between Jewish Charities chosen by Roger Stephens at his absolute discretion.
Mr Schulof was a very quiet person who lived in a council house and no-one could have contemplated the size of his estate although he owned and regularly sailed his own yacht. After much legal advice and extensive work by Mr Rogers a list of Jewish Charities to be beneficiaries was drawn up of the residue of the estate and Kehillat Kernow was allocated 4% of the monies to help our community.
Kehillat Kernow is extremely appreciative of the generosity of Mr Schulof.
Jack Abel
Died on 18th July 2013, 11th day of Av 5773.
For over ten years, Jack had been regularly visited by Harvey Kurzfield and they established a bond of friendship. Kehillat Kernow officiated at Jack’s funeral, which was held at the municipal cemetery at Newquay, where there is an established site for Jewish burials.
He remembered Kehillat Kernow in his will, which is also deeply appreciated.
